Do I need a licence or insurance?
Rules depend on the bike class and local regulations. Our team will explain what applies to your model when you test ride.
How do I charge it?
Plug the charger into the removable battery or the bike itself, using any normal wall socket. A full charge takes about 4 hours.
Can I ride in the rain?
Yes. The motor, battery and display are sealed for everyday wet weather. We recommend avoiding deep standing water and pressure washing.
What if I run out of battery?
You can keep pedalling like a normal bike. The Volta frame and gearing are designed to ride comfortably with the assist off.
How does servicing work?
Your first service is free. After that, book at any Volta partner workshop — we’ll remind you through the app.
